Oops He did it again!

Parade Loot

So imagine sitting at the side of the road for the Pioneer Day parade. The sky is blue and there is enough wind to cool you off. There are people lining Main Street in Cedar City watching the Parade. There are horses, floats, bikes, bands, dancers, police officers, fire fighters, and vendors trying to get you to buy balloons, food, and water.
Well, here in Utah it is a big thing for little town parades to throw candy from the floats to the people watching the parade. It is usually a huge brawl for kids getting the candy. Well, this year I watched it with my parents and Mia because Logan and BayLee were up with family in Northern Utah. We were just watching other kids fight for candy when all of a sudden a can of SPAM comes flying towards me! A single random can......not another one in sight. My mom and I just look at eachother with a quite confused expression. Noone fought me for this can of SPAM and now it will sit in my food storage and never be touched.
A part of me wonders if there is a prize inside of it.........

Happy 11th Birthday Logan

I can't believe that Adam and I are old enough to have a child that is 11! Logan David Dover turns 11 today and I just can't say how much I love him. He has such a great sense about him that can either make you laugh or if you chose to, drive ya crazy. He has a contagious personality and I am excited to see him grow up even more. I sat in church today thinking that a year from today he will be old enough to pass the sacrament. He is no longer a cub scout, he is a Boy Scout. He has grown up so much this past year and is always amazing me by his quick wit and sense of humor.
11 years ago today I was a scared mom starting out on a new journey and it has been a wild ride but I wouldn't trade it for the world. He has a strong testimony in the gospel and I hope it continues to grow even more. He is our number one son and is a joy to my life and my family's life.
WE LOVE YOU LOGAN!

Yellowstone Family Reunion

WHAT a time we had! Going to Yellowstone for a family reunion was a BRILLIANT idea. My aunt Ranae and Uncle Rick put together the greatest reunion ever. We stayed in two huge lodges in Island Park Idaho and lived life to the fullest. There was a room for each little family, there was a hot tub in each lodge, and great times together as family. It got a little loud from time to time but it was overall a great way to spend the weekend with wonderful family that we don't ever get to see.
I met some spouses of cousins I hadn't ever met and it only made me wish we lived closer. My cousin Matt has the sweetest wife Katie. They have the CUTEST twin boys and I loved squeezing their darling little cheeks. I also got to know Stephanie and her husband Brett better too. They have cute little boys. Man, they are busy cute little boys. Brett scared me half to death the last night by jumping out from behind a tree roaring like a bear. I grabbed Katie, screamed, and fell into a ball on the ground. Good times.
The first day there we all went to Yellowstone and all traveled at our own paces. This was good and bad. I was in a car with BayLee and my brother and his family, Adam was with Mia and my parents, and Logan was with my Aunt Aline and her son and his girlfriends fam. So we didn't really get to see Yellowstone together which was a bummer but we all pretty much saw the same things just at different times. We saw a bald eagle in a nest (that stopped traffic for 10 miles), a lot of buffalo, a lot of elk and deer, a lot of moose (is plural meese?), and a BEAR!!! I was so excited. I can't even begin to tell you how happy that made me. My sister in law and I ran to the river and the bear was on the other side. I have a video of it on my facebook, it is pretty cool.
The second day we went for a river floating trip. It was what we will always refer to as "crazy fun". It was a great time and we had a lot of laughs but what happened on the river stayed on the river! At one time we had a mom covered in puke(poor thing-I felt really bad), four kids crying at once, and my innertube capsized. It was great fun and it is something we will all remember.
It was a great time and I can't wait for our next reunion!!!!! Here are just 5 of my 516 photos of the trip!

My immediate family-Logan, BayLee, Annaleesa, Tony, Me, My dad, my mom, Adam, and Mia.
Missing from photo Jen and Ajay :(
Now these two could live in water if it were possible. Logan and BayLee were the only
two who wanted to do it all over again. It took us 3 hours to float five miles.

I loved being on the same grass as the buffalo. I really wanted to get closer!
She was so happy most of the time. Towards the end she started having the sniffles. Now she is fully fledged sick.
What a handsome kid. I missed not being with him at the park. But we were
at least able to watch Old Faithful together.

Not my Cup of Tea

I tried and I tried to get into this movie and I failed. I thought it was....well.....boring. I know that if you are a Harry Potter fan you will think I am crazy for thinking it was boring but I compare it to a musical that you just can't get into and you count the minutes for it to be over. I finally made myself fall asleep and when I woke up it was still going on. I have liked all the other movies but for some reason I just couldn't "get" this one. It went right over my head and I didn't understand anything that was happening. I don't read the books so maybe that had something to do with it. I love happy endings and Harry Potter movies have a way of killing off the good guys and thus showing that the good guys don't win. I know there are reasons that Dumbledore had to die but it really made me sad. I kinda teared up to be honest. Why did he have to die??? I didn't like that at all. I wish that Harry and Hermoine would end up together instead of Harry and Jenny (not a Jenny fan).
Needless to say the ride home with Adam, who is a Harry fan, was an interesting drive. Bless his heart, he tried and tried to get me to see what was so good about it. I am so glad that there are fans out there. I love watching my awesome friends get way into it and wait in long lines for the movie. I love watching their excitement, it makes me happy. But this just isn't my cup of tea. I will continue to watch the first three over and over and over because I really like those. I like the young innocence of Hogwarts. I have only seen the fourth one once and we don't even own it.
To all you Harry Potter fans. I am SO glad that you like it but I will have to sit it out from now on.

Our Friendly Toad

We were doing our weekend task of pulling weeds (which I dread to DEATH by the way). All of a sudden I hear "Hey, Honey! Guess what I have over here?" Uh, in this area it could have beeen ANYTHING from a snake to a scorpion to a trauntula. Thank heavens it was just a big fat toad. She (I call it that only because Adam attempts to kiss it) is actually now living in our pond making friends with the Koi. I now have five little girls running around my backyard screaming. This has been a summer of creatures. But the second I see a scorpion or Trauntula I AM OUTTA HERE!!!!

A little too close for me. No kisses for Adam tonight.
Awwwww!!!!! I wonder what is going through the toads mind????

I was quite suprised that the kids wanted to touch it.

We need a name. Any suggestions????

Swimming With Aunt Maggie

We were able to go spend the afternoon with Maggie and swim in her pool. The kids love visiting Aunt Maggie. BayLee has become quite the swimmer after her swimming lessons this summer. Logan is a fish too. Mia actually wanted to swim for once.......the one time I don't bring a lil swimmer for her.
THANKS AUNT MAGGIE!! WE LOVE YOU!
