Sad Moment...Teaching Time

Picture taken right after he was born.
We lost this puppy a couple of days ago. It was only three days old but BayLee was attached from the beginning. Our male Miniature Schnauzer bred with our close friends female Miniature Schnauzer and three puppies were born. Since we had the Stud dog we got to choose a puppy. Well, BayLee went with Adam to their house to help with the delivery of the puppies, to make sure all went well, and BayLee went along. Man, she was in high heaven and had named the puppy to be ours, Max. Well, we got a phone call three days later and my heart sunk. Max didn't make it. I cried for my children, how was I going to look BayLee in the eyes and tell her that it died. I know it was only three days old, I know that the kids hadn't played with it, but it was part of our family already.
Adam came home after work and I had him tell the kids. They were sad. Logan helped Adam dig the hole. I was inside with Mia because of the wind but just happened to look out and saw BayLee holding Max, rocking him in the rocking chair, wrapped in a blanket. I went outside and could see her petting the poor puppy and singing a sweet song. This was a real teaching moment for me. She was so reverent with the puppy and said "Mom, it's ok. He is in heaven and will be there when we get there." So sweet. I wish I could put this moment in a jar too, and put it on my shelf.
**** Good news.....the people who wanted the third puppy changed their mind so we will be getting that one.

I Waited In Line For THIS????

Spring Break Madness

Posted by Picasa
I figured I would never get caught up if I just did a day to day Spring Break post. Spring Break has come to an end and man did we have fun. After our day to McD's with our friends we went to Cedar City and stayed a couple of days with Grandma and Grandpa Boggess. Took in a 5 mile round trip hike up the canyon. The weather was perfect and Mia even tried out Grandmas sunglasses. We went through a car wash (remember it is Cedar City-cheap entertainment)! Adam had the whole weekend off so we spent time together at a park and had good ole KFC for our picnic.
We had fun but am I sad to see Spring Break end??? I will leave that to you to answer.

Spring Break Day Two

Nothing beats a great lunch with the kids at McDonalds. We went with our friends and had lunch. Mia wanted to get out and play so bad. She is getting more brave about walking so it won't be long until she can run a muck with the older kids. BayLee was with us here but she wasn't having much to do with the camera.
Such a pretty girl.
This little guy has a special place in my heart. He is my bestfriends son Tyson. He is such a sweet kid. Look at that cute smile.

Logan and JD are "Bros". Man o man, when the two of them get together.....watch out.

Little Bunny Foo Foo

I thought this was too funny to keep to myself. So yesterday I went to our local thrift store, Deseret Industries, and found an easter tree for BayLee and Mias room. I am trying to get one for each room, but anyways. As BayLee and I were untangling the ornaments and redecorating it, BayLee said "Mom. Too bad there aren't Pilgrims to hang on this tree." I said,"BayLee, honey. That is the wrong holiday. The Pilgrims are Thanksgiving." She said,"No. They are easter too." So I asked, "How are they Easter". She then belted out in song "Little bunny foo foo hopping through the forest. Picking up the Pilgrims and boppin them on the head." Then it all made sense to me. I went to my bedroom and died laughing!!!!! I will never think of that song the same now. So funny what kids hear.

Spring Break: Day One

I can't believe that Spring Break is already here! How crazy is that? That means that summer vacation is creeping up to my doorstep and will be here before I know it.

Day One has been so much fun! I wanted to take the kids to feed the ducks today and go for a picnic. Logan didn't want to go, and I came to realize that he is growing up. He is almost 11 and of course he doesn't want to hang out with his mom and ducks. :) So he stayed home and played at a friends house. Time is flying so fast and I don't have much time left with him.

BayLee, Mia, and I went and fed the ducks. Actually Mia was afraid of them and so I put her in the carseat. Don't worry, the ducks were like two feet away and the van door was open!! :) But the Geese are CRAZY. BayLee felt sorry for one that was injured and wasn't getting any food, so needless to say it got most of the bread.

We then went to thrift stores and found a few great treasures. I spent the afternoon making chicken noodle soup. YUMMY!!! I wonder what is in store for tomorrow.........

After the Geese scared her to death
The poor injured geese that BayLee wanted to bring home with us.

BayLee loved to throw a whole piece in the pond and watch all the ducks go after it. She was laughing so hard. Some little boys that were there decided her technique was better than theirs and they jumped in on the fun!

She LOVES being with animals.

Makeover Night

While Adam and Logan went on their one on one time, BayLee and I did makeovers! It was so much fun and between you and I, I was really nervous! But we had a blast. BayLee thought of it. She wanted us to do a fashion show too but I told her we would have to save that for another night. The night before her and I went to a movie, Coraline. DO NOT SEE IT!!! For a review go see what I wrote about on my other blog, Some of This and Some of That.
I will forever think of moments like these with my children. We had so much fun being girlie and we can't wait for Sophie to join us!!!

Reading Time for Mia

Mia loves to sit in the rocker chair and read. The rocker chair is totally beat up and destroyed because of kids, but I can't bear to part with it because she loves to sit in it. She loves to get a book out of her basket and take it to the chair and reads one after another. I am so thankful that all three of my kiddos have a love for reading. I tried to sneak up on her to take a picture but she caught me. MAN she is cute!!!

DisneyLand Romance

Well, we made it back from our great vacation and we had a blast. Such a great way to spend a birthday. This year you can get in free on your birthday but we had three day park hoppers so instead of getting in free I got a $70 gift card to spend in the Disney Stores. That was so great. I got me a purse and a hoodie jacket. We had a blast playing like two little lovebirds around the park. It was so layed back and stress free. DisneyLand just makes me smile. I always hate to leave but it was time to get back to the kiddos.
We spent time with my Aunt Rhonda and Uncle Lynn and their son Jordan. It was good to see family we don't ever really get to see. They took us out to dinner at Rainforest cafe and that was such a fun environment.
We had a sporty rental car, Mazda3. Adam was in heaven driving that car. It made us feel young and less minivanish! Here are just a few of our pictures.....enjoy!

The Tooth Fairy is Coming to My House

BayLee lost a tooth and was so excited! She wanted me to put it on the Blog. She didn't want to put it under her pillow lastnight because she wanted to take it to school to show her teacher. Which worked out good because I heard a rumor that the Tooth Fairy only had a debit card lastnight. :)

This Time I Mean It

I once again wasted two months watching this show. Each season I swear I will never watch it again. But this time I MEAN IT. This guy Jason came across as a very nice guy. I knew there was no way he could be as lame as the others. Well, it must be a condition to be on this show, you must be lame.
Jason is hurtful and selfish. I won't go on and on about it but I needed to vent. I am really upset about this. He was in love with a girl named Melissa and proposed to her lastnight and they were so much in love. He said he fell in love with her on the first date and had been waiting for the moment when he could tell her that he loved her. Man, they looked happy, I was cheering and so happy for them. (I know, it is tv but let me believe that it is real).
Well, as soon as it was over they switched to a "After the Rose" show and BAM he dumped Melissa on her butt and five minutes later was making out with Molly and begging for her to give him another chance. BAM, she said yes. OK WHAT ABOUT GIRLS STICKING TOGETHER? Shouldn't she have said, "Sorry, Loser. You totally broke my heart then turned around and broke Melissas heart. See ya". NO, she said "I have never stopped loveing you". OH BROTHER. I wanted to throw the remote at the tv.
I am now going to invite Melissa over for dinner. She needs a good friend. I hope she is the next Bachelorette. Oh wait, I am not going to watch it again.............. Thanks for listening, that is what friends are for.

A Pirates Life For Me

Pirate Island Pizza is a new restaurant in St. George. It is really cool. Really fun Pirate atmosphere and the kids love the food. There is thunder, lightening, waterfall, themed rooms, a play place for the little kids and arcade games. Very fun.

Logan is such a good sport. He is a good five years older than most of the
other kids we hang out with. He often reverts back to being six more than setting
the example. :)
Kaleb insisted they wear the hats upside down.

This is a Homie Pirate

The wenches and the waiter

They also have a shooting gallery. BayLee refused to
shoot the animals. She would only shoot the skeletons because
they were.....ALREADY DEAD. I love her!!!

A Kodak Moment

Yesterday we went to Pirate Island Pizza for Dinner with the Graffs. Logan and BayLee got Citizenship awards from their teachers and Pirate Island certificates came with them. Kasen had also gotten one so we decided to all go together. We had time to kill while waiting for a table so I took some pictures.
I can't believe how fast my kids are growing up.

Bay, Logan, and Kasen at the top of a waterfall!
She is the Queen of the world

I must say I think this picture is very handsome. It has preteen written all over it!
I am too young to have a preteener :)
I love this picture. She was having so much fun striking poses.
