BayLee vs The Dentist

BayLee had to go get a filling today and she was so scared. She cried from the time she woke up at 7:00 until her appointment at 9:00. Finally I asked her what was really wrong and she said "I want Dad to take me, he is more brave than you." I about died, how can she tell I am a wimp?? :) So I called dad and he was able to get away from work for a few minutes. It took Dr. Ence (cutie patootie) 10 minutes to do it. She didn't need a shot or the drill (I didn't tell her about the possible shot....that would have been BAD!!).

When it was all said and done she came out with a huge smile on her face and said "I told you it wouldn't be that bad Mom"!!! What a silly cute girl!

She wasn't too sure about the "elephant nose"

Save the Fish

Ok, so tonight Adam made us a great Salmon dinner. Salmon, potatoes, and yummy green beans. We were all so excited-we are a seafood family. I loved it even more because I didn't have to cook it. But we sat down to eat and we were all digging in. BayLee and I were to share the last portion so we could each have 1 1/2 while Adam and Logan had 2 portions.

Man, it was good. But I noticed BayLee was really quiet all of a sudden and just staring at her last piece of salmon. I asked her if she was ok. She said yes but she was just tired. Adam and Logan finished and left the table. BayLee was still quiet and this isn't like her so I asked her again what was wrong. She finally looked at me and I noticed tears in her eyes. She said "Mom, what if this Salmon was someones mom? I wonder how pretty this fish was." It was so sweet and sincere. I told her she didn't have to eat it if it made her sad and she carefully put it on my plate to finish.....but I gave it to Adam, I didn't have the heart to eat it after she had bonded with it so much.

Tool Time With Dad

Hooray for tax returns! We actually got the girls bunkbeds around Christmas time but I didn't want to put them up until I got new bedding so I could make it a big deal. It was so fun looking for pink and brown bedding.

BayLee, Mia, and Dad put together the beds the other night. Okay, so Mia was just there for the photo op...way to many little pieces for the mouth obsessed baby!! But BayLee was right in there with Dad screwing the screws, holding the pieces steady, and just being a great helper. The next night she was helping him with the van but I didn't get pics of that. She loves her dad so much.

I will get pictures of the finished product with the CUTE CUTE CUTE bedding.

Oh my GOSH she is cute. I just want to eat her up.
Daddy and his girls.

BayLee making sure it is all done just right.

See those posts leaning up against the wall? Well, I went over in that corner to get a "better" shot and they all fell on my toes.....MAN it hurt.

Good News

We just got a phone call from BayLees teacher letting us know that she got a 100% on her math test she took today. I sure love her teacher Mrs Murphy. She goes far beyond her call of duty and gives her students the love they deserve. I mean really, she took time out of her evening to give us a call.

We are so proud of you BayLee and love the hard work that you put forth in your school work. You are a great student and we love you very much. GOOD JOB!!!!

Talk the Talk, Walk the Walk

I may be a little strict but food is NOT allowed in my living room. It is a very hard rule but the kids are really good about it. I have told them that there is an imaginary electrical fence right as you step into the living room. If you go in there with food you will get shocked.

Lastnight I walked into the living room and saw this.......

BayLee eating icecream OUT OF THE CARTON on MY COUCH.
Of course I flipped out, she pointed and I saw this.......

HELLO!!!!! So then I had to get after Adam for setting the
example. Man oh man.......

This is the "I have been caught" face.

Mias One Year Photoshoot

My wonderful friend Tiffani Herpel took pictures of my sweet Mia on friday. She did such a great job and was so good and sweet with Mia. I am so thrilled with how they turned out. We went to a quaint square in the middle of town and it was so fun to find new photo op places. We live by the red rocks that are so beautiful but it is so fun to find places without the red rock backdrop. Little Mias nose was so red by the end but she was a trooper and I hope to get new family pics taken at the same place in April. THANK YOU TIF!!! Check out her other wonderful work here.
