*Can you tell I have become addicted to entering giveaways???!!!!!

Ok, so I read a great story about courage for Family Home Evening. I was so impressed that BayLee knew exactly why I had read it. After I was done I of coursed asked "What was this story about?" Logan answered with "Courage". I asked "Logan what in your life do you need courage for?" He answered with something witty. I then asked Bay the same question and she said "Riding my bike without training wheels" YES!!!! I did it!! THE POINT GOT TAKEN. So then for the activity we made a big deal that this was her rising shining moment and got the wheels off. Adam rolled up his sleeves and got ready to battle the battle. And this is what happened.......

SHE DIDN"T EVEN NEED HELP!!!!!!! Way to go Bay!!!! Looks like a new bike will have to be in the near future.

I DO Have Other Family Members!

As I looked through my blog yesterday there are two (okay three, but I don't count) people missing from our Blog. My cute hubby and my cute son Logan. I think I am having way too much fun at home with just Mia. But anyway, yesterday we were trying to convince BayLee that it is OK to let the training wheels off of her bike. Logan was trying to coax her into it and Adam was too. We are going to have a family home evening tonight about Courage I have decided. We have even told her that we will get her a new bike once she can ride without them. That is the difference between two kids. Logan didn't like the training wheels, they slowed him down. He was on a bike without them by the time he was four. Lastnight it "rained" a little bit so they went riding through puddles. It is the SIMPLE things that make kids happy. We need to remember that. It isn't the extravagent things, it is the little things. They just want our time and attention, nothing else. I love my kids so much. Adam is just one of the kids and makes us all smile. I am so blessed to be with them forever.

Fun with Friends

Mia was able to go play with the Doty kiddos while I went to the Temple yesterday for a sealing. They went to the park and had a great time playing on the grass. Hopefully Piper and Mia will be as good of friends as BayLee and JD and Brandy and I. Friends are priceless.

I LOVE this picture.

Moms Little Helper

BayLee hears the cupboard doors open, the drawers open, pans coming out and before I know it she is right there to help. Not just once in awhile but it happens just about every night. She loves to make anything with me. I cherish these moments because it is when she really talks to me. I can ask her anything and she will talk to me about it. She asks me questions and I try to answer them. I can't believe how quickly she is growing up-way too fast this year. She teaches me that I need to hold onto every minute and enjoy it. If I feel like pulling out my hair..... just LAUGH!!!!

8 Months Old

She is so stinkin cute! Isn't she!!! This picture captures my heart....... I can't believe my baby is already 8 months old. Totally not fair.
Milestones we have finally reached:
*sits up straight and plays more sitting up than laying down
*does this weird sideways army crawl thing....so adorable to watch and she does it until she gets to where she wants to go.
*LOVES Gerber Graduate foods especially the Banana Puffs.
*Eats at the table with us and lets us know when she is hungry and full
*Tries to clap
*Laughs and smiles ALOT!!!!
*Sleeps through the night-still :)
*Says MAMA!!!! I know she is tallking to me, not just making noises. :)

Time Out For Women

I had a great little get away with my second family!! These great ladies have been in my life for 11 years, long enough they consider me a daughter and sister. We went to Las Vegas for a seminar called Time Out for Women. It was so great. By the pictures it looks like all we did was eat but we did so much more than that. We got spiritually fed too. I walked away feeling rejuvinated and feeling like maybe I am a good mom, a good wife, a good daughter. I was reminded that my Heavenly Father knows me by name and knows my worth, I am so grateful to be a part of this wonderful church. There were so many emotions felt throughout the day and a half of uplifting. There was music being performed, Nashville Tribute to Joseph Smith and the Pioneers, and a wonderful artist by the name of Hillary Weeks. I think that sometimes as mothers and as ladies in general we are way too hard on ourselves, to quick to judge others, and most of all we need to take more time to do the things we enjoy doing. I am so glad I have great friends like this to do great things with. I am also so grateful to my hubby and parents for helping out with the kiddos.

A LDS tailgate party.....cheese crackers and coke!
We went to Wolfgang Pucks Lupo Restaurant at the Mandalay Bay. We think they may have spiked the water. HEE HEE!!!!
Maggie, Me, and Brandy
The Ladies who deserved a TIME OUT!!!! (Told you I chopped my hair) Of course we had to go out to eat before our drive home!

Potty Mouth Troubles

Can I just say I am sick and tired of potty mouths??? My wonderful Logan uses words like "poop", "fart", "idiot", and "crap" so much that I was starting to go a little crazy. First of all I know it could be worse, the word choice I guess in the big scheme of things is really not that bad. It was the amount of times these words were being said. Finally on Friday I HAD HAD ENOUGH. I told the whole family that who ever used those four words would spend five minutes in time out. Ok, five minutes in time out sounds pretty nice to me-a little vacation in fact. Well, Logan had been there quite a few times between then and Sunday evening, Adam had been there even more times(gee, I wonder where Logan gets it :) ), BayLee had been there once(her words are the words I will be sick of next week), and I felt pretty good about the point I had made to everybody and was figuring out a clever way of blogging this great idea and I hadn't been in the corner. My celebration was cut short when I was on the computer minding my own business in piece and quiet, when all of a sudden Adam scared me to death!!! I said a synonym to Crap and Logan came flying out my room and said "MOM THAT WORD DESERVES TEN MINUTES!!" Man was I put into place. So, I spent ten minutes in time out and thought about the bad example I was. I think the corner is the greatest solution and we have been so creative coming up with new ways of expressing our words.
PS. Got my hair CHOPPED!!! Will post photos of new do soon.

That's What I Call Love

This totally made BayLees whole day yesterday. Adam has always painted mine and Bays nails (use to be every Sunday but now it is once in a while) but yesterday BayLee didn't want him to do hers. He tried to get her to let him several times during the day. He had painted Mias and mine. Well lastnight she came up to Adam and said, "Ok dad, I will make you a deal. If I can paint your toenails I will let you paint mine." Without any hesitation Adam said "OK". It was the sweetest thing I have seen in a really long time. They were both having a great time and Logan was mad that I wouldn't let him paint his own (didn't want to start a trend!). BayLee has her dad wrapped around ever finger and toe, they are the best of friends and this proved it.

She did a really good job.
I think she was still surprised he said ok.
"What do ya do?"(ignore the messy house)
I must say he has always had really nice feet. It was so weird to see pink toenails. He even kept the polish on, hasn't taken it off yet.

My Scrapping Buddy

BayLee has been dying to do some scrapping with me. So we pulled out all the stuff and had a great time laughing, talking, cutting, scrapping. She has grown up so much since she has started first grade. I have really noticed this the past couple of weeks. She has so much fun at school and loves making more friends each day. She is such a good girl and I loved doing my favorite pastime with her. She got a lot of supplies for her birthday and loved using them with me. I think we will do it together more often. She is quite crafty.

Such a sweet face.

Ducks in A Row....or Geese

After spending a few hours in the house this afternoon cleaning carpets and mopping the floor we were going stir crazy and decided to go feed the ducks. The geese were crazy! They were chasing Logan all over. At first he was really scared running away screaming like ,I hate to say it, a girl. It was pretty funny. But eventually he chilled out and got pretty daring. It was so fun to see him and BayLee get so excited about something so simple. So, the next time you have some stale bread, go find some ducks to feed!!!

He forgot he was in his swim trunks and DID not want me to post pictures. But how couldn't I?
BayLee had so much fun with Dad home for three days.
Here I am coming across as being brave!
Just to know what is going through his mind at this moment.

Today we were going to go fishing in Pine Valley but it was really windy and chilly (ok 77 isn't chilly but I have a baby ok??). Anyways, we didn't end up going fishing so we needed to come up with something just as cool if not cooler. So we decided to pull out our rockets and launch pad. We went to a park that had a lot of grass and room for error. The kids had a blast (Adam included). It was fun to watch them count down and push the ignite button that would send the rocket high into the sky. The best part was watching them chase the rocket after the chute would open. One launch Adam actually caught the rocket-doesn't happen too often.
It was a lot of fun and fishing was never brought up again........but Fiesta Fun was. Save that for another day. I had so much fun with my hubby this weekend. He works 6 days a week and we don't really ever get to spend a lot of time as a family. The kids hardly left his side. I am so blessed to have the family I have. We have so much fun together and we make the best of every situation that comes our way. We may not be rich in wealth but the memories make us rich.

This is a shot I took AFTER a shot that Logan was giving some sort of hand signs. Hence the forced look on his face :)
Logan seriously hangs on to Adams every word. It is so entertaining to watch these two!
The hunt for the fallen rocket
No doubt BayLee loves her daddy
After the fun and the wind was too bad to continue
