Painful Humor

The day before Logans birthday he had been at work with Adam and brought home packing pillows (big bags used in shipping instead of bubble wrap). Well, I was busy trying to get Mia out of her carseat (we had just been all over town and she was screaming bloody murder). All of a sudden I hear a terrible cracking sound and feel a BOOM and look outside and Logan was on his bottom on the patio and screaming louder than anything I have ever heard. Seriously, I think he could have outscreamed a Bansie. He was holding his foot and BayLee was looking at him like "what the heck is your deal?". Of course I go running(as if I can really run) out and ask "What did you do"? He kept screaming like his foot was off his leg. I said a little louder "I CAN"T HELP YOU IF YOU DON'T TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED" He then says (still screaming)"I jumped on the air cushion and it feels like my foot exploded! I need to go to the Emergency Room right now."First of all only Logan would BEG to go to the ER. I look down and the darn bag didn't even pop!!!! Keep in mind Mia is still very hungry and tired. Of course only things like this happen when you are going nutso anyways. I try to get Logan to stand up and he REFUSES and INSISTS I carry him to the van. So I call Adam and tell him I am taking Logan to the ER. He meets me there, I send BayLee and Mia to a friend (with everything BUT a bottle) so of course a bottle is bought and Mia is ok. We get put on the fasttrack in the ER because Logan is acting as if his foot is going to fall off and he knows for sure that it is broken because he felt like his "foot exploded". So we get in the back in like five minutes (good for DRMC) he gets a wheelchair ride, an x-ray and the doctor comes in 25 minutes later (brace yourself) and says "There is nothing broken I think it is just bruised. But I will print off some pictures of the x-ray and you can put them in a scrapbook." Logan then says "My foot HAS to be broken. Look again. How can you explain why it felt like my foot exploded. I know it is broken and I need crutches" By this time I am dying. It quickly goes from pity to EMBARRASEMENT!!! I couldn't believe it. But the doctor said " Well, I was going to give you crutches because you do need to stay off of it. But just for a couple of days. Your heel is bruised.....it is what we call a stone bruise. The kind of bruise you would get by walking down a stoney beach." ARE YOU KIDDING????? If you are getting bruises from walking down a stoney beach....GET OFF OF THE STONES!!!! So, needless to say Logan loved the crutches. Holy Cow. Thank you DRMC for being so helpful and patient. I am sure we were the joke of the day. This is how we passed time waiting to hear from the doctor.

WARNING

I have put a lot of new posts on today. Ihave been out of town for about a week between Cedar City and Mesquite, NV. We were able to spend a couple of days with my brother and his family. We all stayed at my parents house and we still love eachother. We made a trip to Denny's for breakfast (thanks goes out to our patient waitress Emily), we took the kids to the park to wear them out (didn't quite work), I stayed up with Mia two nights in a row (teething, strange place, snoring sister in same room), took a 1 a.m trip to the Maverick and Hamilton Fort (first attempt at getting Mia to sleep, I don't usually use the car ride approach but it did work), drove on my parents lawn, (my brother was to tired to go get the keys to his car so I had to do a 1,000,000 point turn to get off the driveway, love ya Tony), watched Grandpa put together a basketball hoop thing (my brother got it for him for his birthday and we watched him put it together, something is wrong with this picture), we had bbqs out on the patio and it rained each time we would set the table ( I think it did that just because Jen had to carry Annalisa inside and outside eachtime it rained), we had waterfights, played duck duck goose (I ended up playing it by myself), stayed up late (oh wait!!! I stayed up ALL night!!!!) I hope you have fun looking at all of these pictures. If not, pretend you did and send me a comment!!! :) I love to hear what you have to say!!!!!!!!!

Random Shots

What can I say? These were just random shots that really needed to be put on the blog world to show off the cute kids I have. I can't even begin to tell you the laughter, joy, (tears), that I share with my wonderful kids. I hope 20 years from now I will still be the "coolest" mom. Although there are times they wish they had a nice mom that didn't make them do chores or anything like that. Sorry for the long strip of photos, trying to figure out how to make a square of them. Anybody help?

We love our cousins

We had a lot of fun with our cousins. BayLee loved going to Denny's and the park with her cousins. Logan liked being the oldest. They were so fun to watch play. I wish we could see them more often. BayLee can't wait for the girls to grow up and play.(We will see if she still feels that way when the day comes!!!)

BEING AN AUNT ROCKS!!!!!

Holy Moly AnnaLisa is soooo stinkin cute. I couldn't keep my hands off of her. I had so much fun loving on her. BayLee couldn't stop saying how "adorable" she is. Of course I can't forget Ajay either. He is such a ham. He made me laugh. I am so grateful for my neice and nephew. They give me so much joy. I didn't think I would ever be an aunt. So enjoy the pictures of my pride and joys!!!!!

Happy Birthday Logan

I can't believe Logan is ten years old!!!! Isn't it scary how fast time flies. He brings so much happiness and enthusiam and energy to our family. He has a sweet spirit and if I could just chill out he would probably make me laugh a lot. :) He had quite the birthday. We went to Mesquite on Friday and stayed all day Saturday. Adam took him and BayLee to Journey to the Center of the Earth ( I opted to "lose" 10 dollars to the Oasis), took him to Samurai 21 for dinner, came home had cake. SUNDAY we had the Doty Clan and the Snow family come over for cake and ice-cream. MONDAY went to Cedar and Uncle Tony made him a Steak dinner and got him a cake. The kids fell asleep before cake and presents so TUESDAY MORNING he opened gifts from Tonys family then TUESDAY NIGHT he had another birthday cake. HIS BIRTHDAY IS OVER!!!!! Happy Birthday Logan, We love you.

Fun in the Pool

Check out those legs!!!!

We went to Mesquite Nevada last weekend with Grandma and Grandpa Boggess for Logans birthday. We had so much fun at the pool, BayLee would've slept in the pool if they would have let her. Mia loved the water!!!! This is a first for a Dover baby. Logan HATED the pool for the first seven years of his life (thanks Uncle Tony) and BayLee took until she was about three or four. Mia just chilled in her little floaty.

No Peas, Please-6 months

Mia was not too impressed by the peas that Logan picked for dinner. But she loves the camera-for sure. I would feed her the peas, she would make a gagging "how could you feed me this" look, I would pull out the camera and she would give me a smile. How in the heck do babies know what tastes good and what doesn't? That is crazy. But I don't think I will pull those out again for a little while, give her time to forget it. :) I can't believe my baby is already 6 months old. She is such a joy and a very happy baby. Still trying to work on the sitting up. We are off to the doctor tomorrow for her well-child check up. I will let you know how it all goes.

Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming....

After the parade we ran a few errands, went and saw Adam at work. As soon as we got home Bay and Logan hopped in the "hot tub". This has made the summer so much nicer. They spend quite a lot of time in the "pool" as they call it. Hey, I won't complain. They have so much fun and are anxiously awaiting the minute when mom will join them.......the world isn't ready for that. :)

Happy Pioneer Day

Today is the day we remember the Pioneers and the long journey they made across the country and ended up in Utah. As I was sitting watching the parade this morning I was complaining about the heat and how miserable it was and BayLee was complaining about being hungry, Logan was wanting the parade to start, and Mia was sitting in her stroller just watching people. I had a thought. Those pioneers suffered all of these elements and they probably complained and the kids were probably hungry and tired and hot. But we were able to open our water bottles, sit on nice camping chairs, catch candy from the passing floats (mainly four wheelers and cars) to cure our hunger. I have a great love for the pioneers and I know there isn't any way I could have made it across the plains. I am so grateful for the example they show me and for the sacrifices they made. The parade was wonderful and I was humbled for sure.

BayLee caught a water balloon that kids threw from a float and it didn't pop. She asked me what she should do with it and I turned my back to her and said "throw it at me". Before I knew it I heard a scream behind me and BayLee had totally missed me at hit the lady behind us with the water balloon! It was sooooo funny. Memories.

JDs Birthday Party

Cool effects on this picture.

BayLee and Brooklyn (JDs neighbor)

Mia and Piper-Friends Forever

Now this is wierd!!! She looks just like me in this picture.

I went to post this blog and realized I don't have any pictures of JD the Birthday boy. We went to the splash pad for his party. BayLee and JD are the best of buddies. They share a lot of the same friends so that made it even funner. It is always so good to see friends during the summer. Logan and BayLee are so ready to go back to school (I think I am ready for that too). Mia had fun at the party hangin out until Josh scared her just for the fun of it. What would we do without people that love to scare babies. He better watch his back. :)

Memory Lane:Please do it. So fun!!

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

PROUDLY INTRODUCING.......

Precious Moment

Happy Mom!! I love you Jen!!!

What a proud dad! I am so glad he has
a little princess!

The proud Big Brother Ajay!!!! I wonder what is going through his mind!!

I am proud to introduce to you my neice Annalisa Jean Boggess. She is so cute!! I haven't seen her in person yet but I can't wait to. My brother and his wife decided to be suprised with what the baby would be. They did this with my nephew too. I thought they were crazy but it was actually really fun to find out at the last second. I screamed so loud I woke up Mia when my mom called and said it was a girl. Her and Mia are only 5 months apart so that will be really fun. Everyone is healthy and happy and I am so happy to be an aunt for the second time.
